Itinerary Details


Day 1: Chandigarh To Shimla
Meet and greet upon arrival and travel by surface to Shimla. Arrive Shimla and check-in to the hotel. In the evening, take a stroll at the historical Ridge and The Mall Road. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Shimla local excursion
This morning we head out for local sightseeing in and around Shimla. A visit to Jakhoo temple is a must. Located at an altitude of 2455m, Jakhoo temple flaunts world's tallest Hanuman statue. Then, we proceed to visit the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS). This former Viceregal Lodge's exquisite grandeur is sure to leave you spell-bound. Later in the evening, we take a stroll on The Mall and The Ridge. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Shimla To Sarahan
After breakfast we hit the road to reach Sarahan. Sarahan, a beautiful temple village sitting at an altitude of about 2,313 metres in the Satluj Valley is best known for alluring landscape, apple orchards, pine forests, small streams, rustic settings and slate roofed houses. This small hamlet is the gateway to the tribal region of Kinnaur. Sarahan is renowned for the beautiful Bhimakali Temple, one of the 51 'shaktipeeths'or 'sacred sites'of India. The temple flaunts an aesthetically-appealing architectural design, with intricate wooden carved exteriors and uniquely shaped slate rooftop. In the afternoon, we reach Sarahan and check-in to the hotel. Thereafter, we proceed to witness the grandeur of the Bhimakali Temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Sarahan To Sangla
After breakfast, we take a narrow road descending through orchards of apples and cherries until we hit the NH 22 to drive along the right bank of Sutlej River. The journey is full of excitement and thrill as gushing water paints the muddy river white. We reach the beautiful Sangla Valley and check-in to a hotel. This place has a charm of its own. The snow-clad mountains, lush greenery and the glacial water of the Baspa River snaking through Sanlga valley will leave you spell-bound. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Sangla To Chitkul To Kalpa
After breakfast, we visit the fort of Kamru. Then we drive to Chitkul, the last village near Indo-Tibet border. The beautiful grasslands, thick forests, snow-clad mountains and Baspa River snaking through the valley look like it came straight out of a fairytale. After lunch, we drive towards Kalpa. Situated at an altitude of 9711 feet, Kalpa is surrounded by snowy peak for almost the whole year. One gets a clear view of the sacred Kinner Kailash peak as well as its sister peaks. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 6: Kalpa To Nako
This morning, we drive to Nako. Situated at a height of 3600m, Nako is an unspoilt, serene and picturesque village. The major attraction of Nako Village is the Nako Lake which is located amidst extremely hilly terrains. We reach Nako and check-in to a hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 7: Nako to Sarahan
After breakfast, we drive back on the same road to reach Sarahan. We reach Sarahan by evening for an overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 8: Sarahan to Chandigarh
In the morning, after breakfast, we bid farewell to the lovely valley and drive through Shimla to Chandigarh.
